Stomatium beaufortense – “little jaws”

Description

Stomatium beaufortense are succulent plants that are all native to Southern Africa. Their thick fleshy leaves have plenty of ornamental appeal with their bumpy leaves with toothed edges. The leaves grow in pairs that can resemble open mouths. Their yellow or white flowers are fragrant and open during the day and close at night during the winter months from July to September.
