Description

Haworthia decipiens var. xiphiophylla, formerly known as Haworthia xiphiophylla, is a small succulent that forms rosettes of yellowish-green leaves with prominent bristles on the margins and without translucent areas. The rosettes grow up to 10 cm in diameter, solitary or produce offsets to form small clusters. Flowers are white with greenish-brown venation and appear on slender stems in summer. Although some species can grow in full sun, most are adapted to thrive in partial shade. Place the potted haworthia in a bright area with some protection from the hottest rays of the day. Haworthias do not like their roots to remain wet for prolonged periods, so their soil should be a well-drained mineral based medium.  Indigenous to the Western and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa
