Description
Euphorbia baioensis is a species of flowering plant in the family Euphorbiaceae. This spiny succulent plant is originally from Kenya. It is found in tropical deserts and flourishes in hot dry conditions. It is mainly branched at the base. Stems are cylindrical, up to 40 cm long, and up to 3 cm in diameter. They have 8 to 10 ribs with a pair of spines on each spine shield. The spines are up to 1 cm long, grey with red tips when young, and become black with age. Flowers are small, pale yellow, and appear from spring to summer.
