Description
Echidnopsis cereiformis var brunnea is a variety of the succulent plant Echidnopsis cereiformis, which is part of the Apocynaceae family. This variety is distinguished by its unique stems which have a brownish colouring, hence its name “brunnea”, meaning “brown” in Latin. Echidnopsis cereiformis var brunnea is a dark flowered variety with tiny deep flowers that sprout out each stem in summer. Plants on offer have approx. 2 – 3 stems and may or not be in flower. Plant in a well draining soil mix. Water only once every 2 weeks in summer and once every 5 weeks in winter as they are dormant in winter. Over watering may cause black spot mildew and or root rot. Place in a warm sunny spot.
