Description
Anacampseros retusa form clumping and bosal rosettes of smooth or hairy flesh succulent leaves in dense mats, developing a small caudex as they age, with white filamentous hairs along the stems. The native range of this species is from southern Namibia to Richtersveld and Namaqualand in Northern Cape and Worcester and Ceres Karoo in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It grows on rocky slopes and flats. An. retusa has a short, thick caudex. Branching stems are about 4 cm long. They are low or level with the ground
